According to Waste Managed, the UK wastes around 9.52 million tonnes of food every year, enough to feed an extra 30 million people, and yet over 8 million Britain’s per year are expected to be in “food poverty” (wastemanaged.co.uk).

70% of all this waste comes from households, and a further 12% from the hospitality sector.

If every household were to make full use of their estimated waste, that could save you and your family up to £500 every year! That’s a short holiday, or a really rubbish car!

So, stop the doom-scrolling and lock in, because over the next however long I can keep this up for, I’ll be sharing insights recipes and helpful hacks that have been gate-kept for too long by the hospitality industry.
